I am a Naples, FL native, and after spending almost two decades pursuing school and career opportunities away, I am thrilled to have started my private practice back on the paradise coast. One of my passions is helping people pursue their potential, while finding a deep sense of self-love and confidence. I am simply thriving most when I can assist others in feeling good about themselves. At this time, my practice works exclusively with adults and emerging adults.

I am a cognitive-behavioral therapist with an emphasis on a strengths-based and positive psychology orientation. I believe in knowing and using what you are good at to promote resiliency, and to strive to thrive rather than just reduce problems and distress. It is important in therapy to be flexible and adaptive, which is why I include a variety of effective and appropriate evidence-based practices. Therapy is both a temporal and financial investment, and it is important to me to be mindful and collaborative about the goals of therapy to make sure that we are using that time thoughtfully and expeditiously.

My practice is based on the belief that most concerns driving us to seek help involve gaining clarity, pursuing purpose or connection, or finding peace. My job is to connect with you in a meaningful way so that we can work together to move closer to those goals. Adulting is just plain hard sometimes. We can all use a safe space with someone in our corner to help us grow skills and pursue self-knowledge, receive comfort and support, and explore and embrace who we are, while we work towards how we want to be.

A Little About Dr. Hillary Singer…

 Education Background

I am a Clinical Psychologist who has been licensed in Florida for over 10 years. I have worked in higher education and community mental health as a therapist, private practice as a psychometrician, taught at the collegiate level, and supervised new therapists in a college counseling setting. I completed my doctoral education at Nova Southeastern University in 2013 and elected to finish my internship and post-doctoral residency at The Florida State University Counseling Center (UCC). I continued my employment at the UCC where I worked with a variety of presenting concerns as well as specialized in Group Therapy. I was chosen as a campus suicide prevention coordinator, and in addition to supervising in the UCC training program, I connected with the community through presentations and workshops on topics such as self-esteem, emotion regulation, body image, suicide prevention, and stress management. For the past several years however, I have found a new passion in assisting parents with the many shifts in identity development and emotional growth that come with parenthood.
